Fructosamine

Fructosamine

Used for the quantitative determination of fructosamine in human serum via colorimetric assay on the Modular automated analyzer.

Instrument: Roche Modular (P800)

Specimen Type: Serum

Volume per test: 13uL (min volume 125uL)

Principle:

This colorimetric assay of specimens in the presence of the reagent is based on of reduction of nitrotetrazolium-blue (NBT) by ketoamines to formazan in an alkaline solution. The rate of formation of formazan is directly proportional to the concentration of fructosamine. Uricase serves to eliminate uric acid interference and detergent eliminates matrix effects. The rate of reaction is measured photometrically at 546 nm.

Testing Range: 10-1000 umol/L
