Apolipoprotein B (ApoB)

Apolipoprotein B (ApoB)

Used for the determination of serum Apolipoprotein B on the Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600 Synchron Clinical System.

Instrument: Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600

Specimen Type: Serum

Volume per test: 15uL (min volume 125uL)

Principle:

ApoB reagent is used to measure ApoB concentration by a turbidimetric method. The Synchron® DxC System automatically proportions the sample and reagent volumes into the cuvette at a ratio of 1:38. ApoB combines with specific antibody to form an insoluble antigen-antibody complex, resulting in turbidity. The change in absorbance at 340 nanometers is directly proportional to the concentration of ApoB in the sample and used by the system to calculate and report ApoB concentration.

Testing Range: 0.25-3.00 g/L
