Interferon gamma (IFN-ɣ)

Interferon gamma (IFN-ɣ)

Used for the determination of interferon gamma concentration in human serum using R&D Systems Quantikine® Human IFN-ɣ ELISA kit.

Instrument: Manual assay

Specimen Type: Serum

NOTE: Unable to report results for hemolyzed specimens.

Volume per test: 2 x 100uL (min volume 300uL)

Principle:

This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Polyclonal antibody specific for IFN-ɣ has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IFN-ɣ present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing away any unbound substances, an enzyme-linked polyclonal antibody specific for IFN-ɣ is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound antibody-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and colour develops in proportion to the amount of IFN-ɣ bound in the initial step. Colour development is stopped and the intensity of the colour is measured.

Testing Range: 31.2-1000 pg/mL
