Creatinine (Urine)

Creatinine (Urine)

Used for the determination of urine creatinine on the Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600 Synchron Clinical System.

Instrument: Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600

Specimen Type: Urine

Volume per test: 3uL (min volume 125uL)

Principle:

Creatinine reagent is used to measure the creatinine concentration by a modified rate Jaffé method. The Synchron system automatically proportions the urine sample and reagent volumes into the cuvette at a ratio 1:73. In the reaction, creatinine combines with picrate in an alkaline solution to form a red-coloured creatinine-picrate complex. The change in absorbance at 520 nm is directly proportional to the concentration of creatinine in the sample and is used by the system to calculate and express creatinine concentration.

Testing Range: 0.9-35.4 mmol/L
