C-Reactive Protein (CRP) – Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600

C-Reactive Protein (CRP)

Used for the determination of serum high sensitive C-Reactive Protein on the Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600 Synchron Clinical System.

Instrument: Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC600

Specimen Type: Serum

NOTE: Lipemic specimens may produce inaccurate results due to the light scattering properties of the samples.

Volume per test: 20uL (min volume 125uL)

Principle:

This assay is based on the highly sensitive Near Infrared Particle Immunoassay rate methodology. An anti-CRP antibody-coated particle binds to CRP in the sample resulting in the formation of insoluble aggregates causing turbidity. The Synchron DxC System automatically proportions the sample and reagent volumes into the cuvette at a ratio of 1:26. The change in absorbance at 940 nm is measured at a timed endpoint, is directly proportional to CRP concentration in the sample, and is used by the system to calculate and result CRP concentration based upon a single-point adjusted, pre-determined calibration curve.

Testing Range: 0.20-380.00 mg/L
